Christmas Coach Runs

Enjoy the experience of travelling in a horse-drawn coach.

Travel back in time to a Dickensian Christmas card scene, a unique way to make the Christmas Season truly memorable.

Biggarshiels Carriages are putting on a number of ticketed Coach and four-in-hand runs in conjunction with acclaimed local hostelries.

The horses will be either a spectacular show team of Chestnut Gelderlanders or Biggarshiel's four majestic black Friesian stallions, more usually seen performing funeral work in city centres.

Be greeted by a roaring fire, coffee and mince pies whilst you await the arrival of the coach. Then climb aboard to an unrivalled vantage point for a one hour tour of stunning Borders countryside, stopping to swap seats and give the horses a breather half-way, before returning to the hostelry for a light lunch or dinner.

The package is usually only available as a block booking, but will e ticketed and individual places sold for pre-arranged dates.

In the event of inclement weather, tickets will be carried forward to new dates.

The coach runs will take place from venues around Biggar, the Borders and Edinburgh.
